Wonderful things can happen when an ethical fashion blogger decides to create her own dress line. Hanna Baror-Padilla just wrapped up a very successful Kickstarter campaign for her label Sotela. Her experience as a blogger gave Hanna an understanding of what she wanted for her own line, local and ethical manufacturing using eco-friendly fabrics. She also knew exactly the kind of dresses she wanted to create, "the last dress you’ll ever need".

I recently hit the road with my family for a mini getaway. We started out in Ojai, headed north to the Trinity river, then to my home town in Humboldt County and had our final stop off in Mendocino on our way back down to LA.

I have always been fascinated by the production process and getting to see the steps people take to create their works of art is an honor.
