New York based womenswear line where Mountains Meet launched a fresh updated website, as well as their FW17 collection today. The Fall pieces are stunning, some of my favorites Renata, Mira and Kelby. The upgraded site now offers more transparency, giving consumers a wonderful insight into the brand, all presented on a beautiful new layout. I was introduced to the company through fellow Ethical Writers & Creatives member Kaméa Chayne and fell for their chic pieces immediately. The lines are crisp and clean, with a beautiful attention to detail.

Botanica Workshop was one of the first brands to be featured on our blog, they are dear to my heart. Designer Misa Miyagawa makes comfortable, feminine cuts that are both modern and classic. She takes inspiration from vintage styles but keeps the details simple and clean. Her color palette is always a highlight for me, dreamy neutrals and a few bright bursts like Scarlet red and Ochre yellow.

For some people bohemian is a trend, a way of dressing, eating, socializing. For Bianca it's at the core of her existence. Raised on a commune in Big Sur by an artist, beatnik father and debutante mother (by the way this is an epic love story, the type books are written about). As a young adult she spent time in New York City modeling and immersing herself in the culture and arts. Then returned to California where she created the perfect balance between fast paced and country life. Bianca now has a live and work space in LA's Atwater Village. An unassuming building that once housed a grocery store has been converted into a delightful home for her and her artist husband; as well as a studio for Biancas line Sugar Candy Mountain.

There's something special about Laurel Canyon, nestled in the hills between West Hollywood and Studio City. It can almost trick you into thinking you're in a small town, complete with its own country style general store. The area still holds the spirit of the 1960's and 70's, when it was a hippie hideout for artists, musicians and creatives. It also holds a special place in my heart, its the location of the restaurant where my husband first told me he loves me and the first home we lived in together (sans roommates). I can now say that I have another reason to love the canyon, one of my new favorite skincare lines is created there. Kari Jansen is an Ayurvedic practitioner and herbalist who handcrafts delightful beauty blends for her line Poppy and Someday, from her home in Laurel Canyon
