Galamaar's Simone High Waist Two Piece is the first bikini I have dared to put on since having my daughter (3+ years ago). My pregnancy gifted me both an umbilical hernia and Diastasis Recti, making the idea of baring my tummy a little terrifying. But the higher waist and structure of this suit gave me the confidence to give the ole two piece another try. I'm so glad I did. The seams are placed perfectly to flatter the figure, on both the bikini top and bottom. A higher cut leg kills any granny panty vibes and the fabric has a sturdy feel which holds everything in place.
Galamaar's fabric is actually one of my favorite attributes of the line. Designer Blakely Wickstrom uses recycled nylon from discarded fishing nets to construct her pieces. Fishing nets make up an estimated 10% of our oceans pollution, so reusing them is a wonderful way to help clean up the sea. I am a big fan of enjoying the beach in a material that is actually benefiting the ocean. Blakely implements sustainable practices into other aspects of her line as well, like recycled hang tags and Eco-friendly packaging. Additionally, the pieces are all constructed in Los Angeles by a small family run factory.
I love Galamaar's color pallette as well as their blend of retro and modern details. A preview of their Ethos collection is now available online, with more styles coming soon. Shop them here and see our shots of the Simone High Waist Two Piece below.
